October Retrospective

So, by popular demand, a brief retrospective for October.

First, some Henry stats:
Henry turned 9 months old on October 9th.
He weighed 21 lbs. 4 oz. (50th percentile) at his checkup.
He was 30 inches tall (> 90th percentile). Which side of the family do those proportions come from? Hmmm.
He wears 12-18 month size clothes right now, but the onesies are starting to get small, so he will be moving into 18-24 month on top soon.

Some time this month, Henry began saying his first words. Of course, it took us a while to notice because he is a second child. We think he started this month. Maybe it has been longer. His first word was 'dah-dah', followed by 'ma-ma', then 'Mah-dah' (Madi). This closely parallels Madi's verbal development. Hers were 'dah-dah', 'ma-ma', and 'TANLAY!' (Stanley, the cat). Henry also now says 'uh-oh'.

On to the photos!

Henry explored the leaves in Logan Canyon.

In honor of the first day of squirrel season in West Virginia, he put on his camouflage. This outfit was originally Madi's, a gift from Granddaddy. It fits Henry pretty well now. It didn't seem to help PapPap get any squirrels, though.

Madi tried on her fabulous bat and skull necklace from GaGa.

She played with trains and 'Ace', her baby doll from Grandmother. Ace seemed overwhelmed by the action.

Madi loves ORANGE! Here she holds her musical rabbit from Uncle Charlie.

And now, the moment you've all been waiting for ... the Halloween portraits, in all their glory!

Special bonus video section:
Below, watch in awe as Henry locomotes! He gets around just fine, so don't be too critical, okay?
