Last Saturday we ended up taking Madi to her regular doctor to get her tonsils checked out. They were really huge! You could hardly even see her epiglottis, it was crowded out by her gigantic tonsils. The doctor gave her an antibiotic and said she feels the tonsils should be removed. The ENT had already recommended that as well. So this week we tentatively scheduled her for tonsillectomy next Wednesday. She will have a pre-op appointment on Monday to confirm things. Jerry Ann (Ga Ga) was already planning on coming in from WV for Madi's birthday, so thankfully she is going to come early and help with things while Madi recovers.
Fortunately, Madi has been feeling pretty good as long as she has pain reliever (without pain reliever is another story). Here she is on the way to Beaver Mountain on Sunday to practice her skiing. She did well skiing on the harness. We went up to the top of the mountain again.
Henry just hung out in the lodge and imagined he was skiing too. His friend Maggie, who was born the same day he was, has already started! She can walk, though. Henry has only taken a handful of steps since he officially started walking last week. He is not in a hurry.
Saturday was warm and sunny and the kids played in the yard. The snow is melting fast. Saturday it was like a big slushy or snow cone.
They had fun sledding, although Henry has a hard time staying upright, even with Madi holding him.
It was a beautiful day and we were happy to be outside.
Tonight the kids had an impromptu dance party. They like to move it move it!
