The current theory

Henry saw the doctor this morning and got an antibiotic shot since he can't keep any medication down. The doctor thinks that the nasty drainage from his ear infection may be what is making him vomit all the time.

Henry eventually urinated this morning and although he is not well hydrated, he is not dehydrated. He is accepting Pedialyte off and on in small amounts, enough to keep him out of the hospital so far. The doctor did note that he lost 2 pounds in the last month. That's close to 10% of his total body weight. If Henry weighed 150 lbs., he would have lost about 15 lbs., just for perspective.

The plan is to see if the antibiotic injection will get his ear infection under control to the point where he can start keeping things down better.

Uncle Charlie sent some beautiful flowers by e-mail from Japan. Thank you! We appreciate all of the comments and e-mails everyone has sent to us. It helps. Keep it coming.

I hope the antibiotic shot works quickly! TWO pounds...yikes. Hopefully he will gain it back and then some as soon as he can be back to his normal amazing eating self. Thanks for updating so often...we have been thinking of you guys!

oh wait...is it "good" news that the vomiting may be from his ear infection vs. a stomach virus?

Yes, we do see it as good news. He already seems to be perking up!
